In the coming weeks, Front Window by Tomas Mutsaers will be on display at our showroom. Front Window is a window exhibition, so be sure to stop by!

Front Window is an ongoing photographic body of work that explores the notion of home, chronic illness, and its influence on the relationship between the individual and society. Departing from Tomas Mutsaers’s personal experience with long COVID and resulting periods of physical and social isolation, he delves deeper into the concept of a space that becomes both sanctuary and constraint. Quite literally viewing everyday life pass him by, Mutsaers began researching the dynamics of observing from a state of isolation.

Through his images, Mutsaers invites us to witness the world beyond his window, where the ebb and flow of daily life seem both distant and intimately close.

Tomas Mutsaers (b. 1992) is a Dutch photographer who lives and works in Rotterdam. He received his Photography Bachelor degree from AKV | St. Joost Breda in 2014. He has been nominated for the Fontanel Finals Young Talents Awards, Belgrade Photo Month New Talents 2016 and the Cosmos Books Arles PDF Award.
