special edition bomberjack & cardboards

The first episode of CULTURE SPORT is set in Rotterdam in the nineties – 1995, to be precise. This period is inseparable from the Gabber scene, Club Parkzicht, and the Rotterdam Terror Corps. Not much later, fashion designer Nada van Dalen arrived, and in 2007 she graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Her Berlin collection, Immergeradeaussi, inspired by streetwear, DDR uniforms, and the city’s history, was nominated for the prestigious International Fashion and Photography Prize in Hyeres.

Bomberjack
In a unique collaboration with the CULTURESPORT team, Nada van Dalen designed ten exclusive bomber jackets for MAMA. They feature a picture from the CULTURESPORT series on the back of the jacket embroidered by Tegendraads. The jackets are reversible – good for gabber scene wear – and signed by all participating artists on the bright orange lining.

The jackets are only available in size XL (gabber size) and can be ordered for €250 via info@showroommama.nl.

Cardboards
During the exhibition, you can follow the development of CULTURESPORT’s first episode and enter a gabber party at Club Parkzicht using a Cardboard VR viewer. For CULTURESPORT: Rotterdam 1995, MAMA has made special Cardboard VR viewers on which an image from the series is silkscreened. These can be borrowed in the showroom during your visit. Want to experience virtual reality at home? The special edition Cardboard VR viewers are for sale at only €20. Available at MAMA or via info@showroommama.nl. The Cardboard viewers come with QR codes to watch the show at home.
