“When it was time for me to start thinking about what I want to do in life while finishing high school, I found myself confronted with arrows pointing into many different directions – I had many interests in different fields and no clue where to begin. After some searching I ultimately found my place in the world of audiovisual design, which is what I’m currently studying at the Willem de Kooning Academy here in Rotterdam. In my study I have the space to focus on artistic expression and experimentation in the world of video and film, but since having started my study, I noticed quickly that I crave for and need input from different institutions and people. And that is where MAMA came in! Being a part of MAMA allows me to dive into the cultural context I am surrounded by, get in touch with Rotterdams art scene and simply meet inspiring people.”
