In Frustrashon; of mas pasenshi, Peralta faces the voice in his head that tells him to slow down or give up. The work sits in that space between peace and frustration, between wanting to grow and wanting to hide. Through his pieces, he reminds us that patience isn’t passive, it’s power; it’s staying in the storm.

Peralta (b. Venezuela, raised in Curaçao) is a multifaceted artist based in the Netherlands, who found his voice through painting. Starting with poetry and storytelling, he began exploring color in 2018 and was deep in paint by 2020. He paints from the gut using color, texture, and rhythm to translate what it feels like to fight yourself and still keep moving. His mix of acrylic, pastel, ink, and pencil isn’t about perfection; it’s about honesty. Each layer carries the weight of his past and the lessons he’s still learning. In Curaçao, he co-founded collectives [malsamaritano, piso serø] that offered second-hand education, amongst others consisting of peer-to-peer learning and learning by doing.
