MaMA is looking for a Producer for 20 hours a week
Are you an organisational talent with a great eye for detail?
Do you enjoy collaborating with up and coming talents and know how to support them in realising their vision? Do you have experience coordinating projects—from exhibition concepts to execution—and do you thrive on bringing creative plans to life? If so, you might be our new producer!
MaMA organises approximately four exhibitions each year, along with various other events. As a producer, you will make sure everything runs smoothly, from planning to execution. You will work closely with the program makers, our setup team, and external partners to coordinate the technical production, in our showroom and at other locations. You’ll keep an eye on the big picture, make sure we stay on budget, and hit all the deadlines.
Tasks:
- You are the point of contact for program makers, artists, and team members. You
support them as needed with troubleshooting and make a production checklist that
you regularly review with all parties involved. - You coordinate, make, and monitor the production and working schedule within the
set deadlines. You do this in collaboration with the program makers, the artists, the
technical team, and some external parties during the setup and dismantling periods. - You handle the purchase of production supplies within the allocated budget and
oversee orders and deliveries. - You are the contact person for the technical team and external rental parties during
the setup and dismantling of exhibitions and activities, as well as for the public
engagement team during exhibitions and other events. - During the setup and dismantling periods, you provide weekly progress reports
during staff meetings. - You handle and facilitate requests for small-scale rentals in the showroom and take a
proactive approach to acquiring such opportunities. - You are responsible for MaMA’s merchandise shop and will see to its growth.
- You come up with ideas for sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.
- You are the bridge between the showroom team and office staff.
Are you someone who:
- Has an affinity for art, pop and youth culture;
- Lives in Rotterdam;
- Has at least one year of relevant experience in a production role;
- Is practical and has some overall technical insights;
- Is enthusiastic about being part of a learning community;
- Has strong communication skills;
- Feels comfortable communicating both in Dutch and English;
- Is a team player and feels connected to MaMA’s activities, and is willing to attend and
supervise MaMA’s events outside office hours (on weekends and evenings); - Is organised and reliable
MaMA offers:

- In addition to regular workdays on Tuesday and Thursday, four flexible hours for

- One hour of paid break per full working day;
- A 20-hour/week contract starting from March 17th for 12 months, with the possibility
of contract extension if there is a good match; - A gross monthly salary between € 3.302,- and € € 3.441,- for a full-time position (38
