Gari Koolen
In West-Rotterdam born and raised, at school is where Gari unfortunately spent most of his days. Middle school and high school were definitely the most uninspiring periods in his life. He started his bachelor History (specialisation Media & Culture) at Erasmus University in 2010, and eventually was part of a master in Media & Journalism. Gari has a personal interest in the societal effects (physical and mental) of mass-culture and a superficial yet earnest fascination for penguins. Sources of inspiration are Octavia Butler, Daniel Boorstin, Marlon James, Gottfreid Helnwein, and Gilbert & George.
